Yolanda's eye reflected in a hand mirror

Hello, I'm Yolanda

Dreamt into being by my grandmothers.

My maternal grandmother took my small hand when I was eight years old, initiating me onto a path that has spent more than forty years deepening through loss, growth, and the slow turning of seasons and cycles.

My paternal grandmother crossed the veil in a refugee camp, yet she found me across the mist, speaking to me through the language of dreams.

When I sat with this collage, the sediment of her river rose up to meet me—ancient, unsettled, instructions that carry powerful medicine.

For over two decades, I have served across the United Nations and international NGOs—driving food security and refugee initiatives in the Great Lakes Region, championing child rights advocacy in Geneva, and building community alongside refugees and minority ethnic women in the UK.

As a Montessori Directress, my life's work weaves institutional depth with grounded, relational pedagogy.

In 2003 I was recognised by Queen Elizabeth II as a Pioneer of the Nation in the Voluntary Sector. Today, decades of leadership, governance and systems experience meet ancestral practice. You don't have to choose between boardroom and Circle, strategy and soul.

You may be here because something no longer fits — a role, an identity, a relationship, a way of being.

Together we dismantle blame, shame and tame, and reclaim the parts of ourselves that were dormant, forgotten or silenced — with tenderness, with discipline, with ceremony.

This is for You if…

You are a strong human of this world — and…

  • ✦You feel the weight of the polycrises and refuse to look away.
  • ✦You are scared, tired or bored — even while others see your strength.
  • ✦You have lived and led across borders, and still feel misunderstood.
  • ✦You long to be more intentional and innovative.

Kind words

“I remember Yolanda’s power in my bones, in my tears, and in my chest’s trembling response to her words to me one weekend on a bus in Switzerland. The words arrived gently, unassuming but memorable, like rain in the desert: ‘You did good.’That’s all. I wasn’t seeking affirmation. But something about the way she said those words rang with the vibrancy of an elderly prestige, like she knew things ordinary ways of knowing couldn’t appreciate. And none other than Yolanda herself offered a conceptual way to hold the moment when she spoke about a ‘prior generosity’.Yolanda knows the music that gave birth to music. She is wise, and that is rare.”
